SAEGE: Support for the Activities of the European Group on Ethics (EGE) by European Academia and Ethics Bodies (SAEGE)

Together with the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies (EGE) and the EGE Secretariat, SAEGE is building the Ethics Advice Mechanism (EthAM) for the European Commission, strengthening the integration of ethical perspectives into EU policymaking.

SAEGE supports the EGE through ethical analyses, evidence reviews, expert consultations, stakeholder engagement, and policy-relevant reports. The project also establishes a European network of experts and stakeholders to foster dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange on emerging ethical challenges.

In addition, SAEGE develops horizon scanning and early-warning activities to identify emerging issues in science and technology and support forward-looking, ethically informed policymaking across the European Union.
